This box was part of the Great Lakes Letterbox Exchange: Hometown Landmarks. It was sent to me by Mobiusklein of Grandville, MI -- whose sole high school's mascot is the bulldog!
The letterbox I sent to Doodle & Deedle Bug as part of this exchange portrayed Jean Nicolet's Landing site at Red Banks, just north of Green Bay, in 1634. This site is commemorated with a statue of Nicolet, and it is here you will need to seek out Grandville's Bulldog.
THIS BOX WAS PULLED ON 8/21/05 DUE TO DEMOLITION OF THE REST STOP WHERE THIS WAS HIDDEN. WILL RE-HIDE IN NEW LOCATION SOON. STAY TUNED...
