Description:
A short hike up totaling .5 miles round trip. Steep so be careful as the path can be muddy. Probably not accessible when there’s lots of snow.

Directions:
From Eagle, head north on Route 55 to Banks. At Banks, turn right/east towards Garden Valley. Turn left to Crouch. Don’t blink otherwise you’ll miss your turn for Crouch which is before Garden Valley. Once in the small town of Crouch, travel north on FR 698/Middle Fork Rd in search of the relaxing hot springs or fishing & camping. This letterbox is about north of Crouch 10-15 miles. We have you traveling for several miles on a dirt road. Watch out for fallen rocks in the road. Once on the dirt road, look for the bridge crossing the Middle Fork of the Payette River. Cross the bridge and then park in the parking area on the right.

Clues:
At the entrance to this parking area on the left is a small, long pined tree behind a stump. From here, head 32 degrees up the trail for about ¼ of a mile. When you reach three trees on the right of the trail about 3 feet from each other with a big rock on the left side of the trail across from the first of these 3 trees. From this spot head 310 degrees for 11 paces/ 22 steps to a downed log and tree. In between these two under some bark and rocks is I’m Crouched.
