Directions: Take exit 209 from I-40 to Broadway/70S. Head southwest on Broadway which eventually turns into West End. Turn right onto 25th Ave. Turn left on Park Plaza and then turn left into Centennial Park. Before parking, drive around the park to locate the tall stone monument dedicated to James Robertson, founder of Nashville and his wife, Charlotte Reeves, mother of the first male child born in Nashville. Then, find a good spot to park near the Amphitheater.

Locate the tall stone monument dedicated to James Robertson, founder of Nashville and his wife, Charlotte Reeves, mother of the first male child born in Nashville. Next to this monument is a pond. Strike out on the paved pathway that encircles the pond, in a counter-clockwise direction, starting from the tall momument. Continue walking, counting 75 steps past the colorful catfish, sitting in front of the restrooms. From that point on the paved path, look right, about 20 steps away, you will see a huge, gnarly old Southern Catalpa tree, whose trunk is as wide as your outstretched arms. As you are walking towards this bumpy old tree, the letterbox is within a hole in the trunk/roots on the left side. I left a rock inside the hole as well, in front of the letterbox.
