Seaman LbNA # 14600 (ARCHIVED)
|Placed Date||Apr 20 2005|
Start in the city where Machpelah would be located if it were on the Illinois prairie. From Seaman Road find the trail and walk to the rising sun until you reach the observation deck. Stop and look at the vast sea and watch the schools of birds diving over and through the waves of tall grasses. Think about how the prairie here used to be like one vast ocean.From the observation deck continue past the tractor crossroad and look for the pine tree farm on your right. Youll see a small metal sign pocked with buckshot. There will be a similar sign slightly further on (don't miss it) and another buckshot sign. From that sign take 24 steps back west. Look left to the tree at the fenceline. Thats where youll find the Seaman letterbox. Youll know you have the right tree because there is a broken white plastic pot there. Recover the box carefully.
This is my first box. Im retired now and in the midwest and this reminds me of my ships the Sephora, La Paloma and Narcissus.
