Magnetic Park was lovingly referred to as Bird Park by the local residents. This was because of all the variety of birds that could be seen enjoying the park.
Take North Michigan Street to East Monroe Street which becomes Magnetic Pkwy. Turn right on Jackson Street that curves into Bailey. You will come to a red watering station from which you will walk 28 paces (1 pace = 2 steps) at 160 degrees and find dead branches of a small tree married to an overgrown evergree shrub. Low on the east side you will find a resident of the park.
