Start Out at the Henry E. Cowdrey Nature Center Parking area on Rte 2A in Lunenberg, MA (headed toward Ayer it will be on your left)

From the parking lot notice the map board. For this trip we're going to send you on the red trail, small and quaint and round trip will take you about 20 minutes to walk the entire trail. It's up to you which direction you want to walk around the trail.
If you follow the trail to the right of the board (notice the red arrow...) watch carefully as the trail is skinny and not super well-marked. (sharp left before the second wood bridge.) It is the long way to the box.
If you follow the trail to the left (at the corner of the parking area about ten feet before the maap board) You'll take at left at the fork (up the hill) then a right at the top of the hill. This is the MUCH shorter route.
Follow the red trail until you find the stone and granite monument in honor of Glenn David Hubbard who died in combat in Vietnam, it' on the water side of the path. Facing the monument notice the 6 digits, add these together ( i.e. 1+2+3+4+5+6=?). Turn left and take that many paces on the path. You'll notice a 5 trunked tree in front of you slightly to the right. (3 trunks with bark 2 without) Our beaver friend has built his hut in (oddest of all places) the middle of this tree. Please stamp in and re-hide carefully. Also check back as, in the future, we will be adding more boxes to these trails.
