Martha Rivers
Park hours 7am ‘til dusk

Be careful of the poison oak and poison ivy.

Park down by the castle.
Start at the “Circle of Caring”.
Go between the castle and the baseball fields on the paved path.
Take 2nd left and go past bench and big rock.
Go around soccer field.
Enter forest on paved path.
As you go uphill, before the path curves to the left, there is a trail off to the right.
Take this trail.
Follow trail to fence, then go left down the hill on a faint path toward the creek.
When near creek, pick trail back up and continue on.
Trail gradually goes away from creek.
At end of forest, turn around.
Go back 10 paces from the last tree on the left.
At a bearing of 270 degrees go 30 paces to the 2nd mound.
Standing on the north end of the mound, take a bearing of 345 degrees and go 60 paces.
You know you are going the right way if you pass a twin tree followed by a triplet tree.
When you get to the biggest tree yet, you will find what you seek.
It is hidden in the hole at the base of the tree, covered by rocks.
Be careful of the poison ivy.
After replacing better than before, go back out to the trail the way you came.
Follow trail out to field, and along the edge of the forest to the paved path.
You can see the parking lot from there.
