Checked 1/26/2012 - The blue trail has been rerouted and I have not updated the directions (yet). You can park in the same place but find and follow the blue trail generally south until you see the development on the right. The clues are correct from there. I updated the clues (See Below).

Checked 2/17/2012 - The unmarked woods road has a lot of blowdown and may be hard to follow, but it's still there. Also the blowdown makes the unmarked road hard to see when returning from the letterbox. Remember the reverse of 20 degrees is 200 degrees to get you back to the unmarked woods road.

You park at the same starting place as Peace in... Swahili, Peace in... Sami and Peace in Malagasi, but hike in the other direction on the Shenipsit Trail. America the Beautiful, Massachusetts is on the same section of trail, but you will have to follow their clues backward from the DITW letterbox.

Checked by 46r and updated the clues below 12-09-15

Over the shoulders and slopes of the dune
I saw the white daisies go down to the sea,
A host in the sunshine, an army in June,
The people God sends us to set our hearts free.

The bobolinks rallied them up from the dell,
the orioles whistled them out of the wood;
And all of their saying was, "Earth it is well!"
And all of their dancing was, "Life, thou art good!"

This was one of the first letterboxes we found when we began letterboxing back in 2001. We adopted the box when we couldn’t find it on any of the lists. If you would like to reclaim your box, please contact us.
Easy in-and-out, about 1.5 mile round trip. A level hike that is wet in spots.

Directions

From Interstate 84 to exit 67, go north on route 31. At the light go north (right) onto route 30. At the next traffic light turn left onto the continuation of route 30. At light go west (left) onto Route 140. Go about 3 miles turn right onto Hopkins (dirt) Road. Park on right side at the wide turnaround about 0.1 mile down the dirt road.

Clues:
You will see an oval shaped, blue "Shenipsit Trail" sign on a tree. Follow the trail back toward Route 140 and then into the woods on the far side of the road. It’s a busy road so be careful. This is a clearly marked blue state trail blazed in 2000. Follow the markers, and twist and turn along the trail. The trail joins an old woods road and will come very close to a new development. Where the trail turns right toward the development, turn left instead following an unmarked woods road at 30 degrees. Since the October storm a few years ago, there is a lot of blow down and the "road" may be hard to follow. Cross a wet spot and go about 0.1 mile until the road makes a right turn at a three trunked tree and heads east. There are actually two triple trunk trees, use the one closer to the turn as the landmark. An old stone wall ends close by. At the tree take a compass reading of 20 degrees and walk 20 paces to a very small grove of hemlock trees. That which you seek is at the base of a double trunked tree. Please cover it back up so that it is not visible once the foliage has fallen.

Retrace your steps back to your car or follow the ATB-Massachusetts backwards to find that letterbox.
