Clues

When the Lewis & Clark expedition arrived at this point, Sacajawea had been seriously ill for several days.Lewis had a cask of water brought from this site and administered it to Sacajawea. He wrote of the water..."The virtues of this water which I resolved to try on the Indian woman."June 16,1805...It may have saved her life,as she soon recovered.

To find this place you may need to contact the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. At the trailhead it is a moderate hike of 1.8 miles...(one way)Be sure to arrive at the rock staircase or you will be lost.
