Emory University set aside (and maintains) this lovely, relatively unknown area with two nature trails winding through hardwood forest along Peachtree Creek. The longest trail within Hahn Woods is only a 15-20 mintue stroll over moderately easy terrain, but it's a peaceful place to sit and watch the water rush by. (Bug spray advised in summer.) There's a lawn for picnicking or tossing a ball at the trail head. Leashed dogs are welcome.

From the gravel drive take the wooden stairs down to the lower trail and follow the path away from Houston Mill Road. Stay close to the creek, continuing around the bend in a SW direction once you reach the stone walls of the old mill sluice. At the black rails, take the path that leads east. Stop at Darth Vader's helmet. Count 18 more steps. The Moon Pi box is just around the corner.

Stamp up and continue on the trail loop to return to the gravel drive, or head down to the creek to see ruins of the old Houston Mill, an 1800s water-powered grist mill.

This box was placed by the founding members of the Paideia Pi-Boxers. [Stamp carved by Lime Lax girl.]
