Difficulty: Easy
Terrain: Fairly flat.
Time: Less than 20 minutes after you park.
Distance: ~ 1/10 mile one way.
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.

The mouse is hiding at Deer Creek State park which is south of Mt. Sterling and west of Circleville. You might want to pick up a map of the park in one of the information Kiosks on the park roads or in the lodge to better help you find the trails. Head for the lodge and just before getting to it take the side road to the right that goes to the cabins. Pass the baseball diamond on the right and continue down that road looking to the right for the trail head for Waterloo Trail. Once you see it park on the right in the lot just past it. Go over the wooden bridge at the trail head and start counting steps following the red blazes. Once you get to 243 steps you should be able to see the lake thru the trees and be standing fairly close to a tree on the right with a red blaze next to a tree with an amputated limb. The BAD NOSED MOUSE is hiding at the base of the blazed tree on the back side under limbs and dead grass in a black letterpouch. Discretely remove the pouch and go somewhere for the stamping and when done please reseal the baggies well before reinserting in the pouch and rehiding as you found it. You can continue on down the trail to the lake or return to the lodge and other trails for more boxing.
