This box has been replaced in a new location 7/6/07. A helpful non-boxer found the old one in the trail and tucked it behind a tree near the trail. I couldn't find it. If you do, please take it or let me know where it is.

When you find this box, you will find something to investigate on the summer solstice. It is about a 15 minute walk to the box at a leisurely pace.

To get to the Yarmouth Walking Trails:

From Route 6, take Exit 8. Head towards Union Street (Yarmouth Port.) At the flashing light at the end of the street, take a left onto Route 6A. Take a right onto Homestead Lane across from house #365, the Friday Club. The road will curve, go right on Kingsbury and near the end you will see the entrance to the walking trail on the right.

Start down the trail and over the footbridge. Follow the main trail, do not turn when a path to the right is an option. Go down the natural stairs with a rail and past the tree that fell over the path and is now cut in two. When you get to a place where even a car could fit, turn right. Follow the path and you'll see houses ahead. Veer off to the left before the path ends and take the roller coaster walk until you reach the TRAIL sign with the double ended arrow. 40 steps should take you to a choke cherry about three feet off the trail on the left. A Midsummer's Eve is to the left of the tree under some sticks.
