BRING BINOCULARS
Take Route 219 north to Route 318 west, cross over Saville Dam, take the first road on the right, which is Beach Rock Rd. At the top of the hill, there is a parking area on your left. Park here.
Go down a set of steps, cross the road CAREFULLY and go up another set of steps. Follow the trail and make your way to the top to get a scenic view of Barkhamsted reservior and Lake McDonough. When you have gotten enough, come back down to a dead pine tree on your right. This tree is about 30 or 35 feet tall and broken off at the top. Go 4 paces past this tree. On your right you will see a large, flat and slanted rock. Reach behind and underneath.
Be discrete, rehide very well, please
and hopefully you didn't forget these.
