This letterbox is hidden in Hibernia County Park in Chester County. First find your way to Hibernia Park which is located in West Caln Township in Chester County, not far off of Route 82. There are two sets of clues listed below. The first is very direct and easy to travel. The second has you walking a little longer and following a trail that winds through the woods and near a the creek.

Short and easy route

Park facing the Hibernia Mansion. Find the spot next to a tall evergreen. Walk to the edge of the parking lot toward the asphalt park road. You will pass a road sign stating ‘Do Not Enter’. Keep the Mansion to your right as you proceed down the hill. When you pass the tree that is ‘resting’ you will know you are getting closer. When you come near the pond, make a left to continue on the path that runs along the pond. Look to your left and you will see a little white house on the hill (the one with the boarded up windows). Explore the base of the house to find what would have been the warmest spot. The letterbox, a square, Rubbermaid container is hidden under some loose rocks. Be careful as you move the rocks to expose the box. Remember how they arranged so that you can leave the box well hidden.

Longer route

Park as described above but instead of turning right to follow the road, find and follow the trail marked ‘Old Damn.’ You will walk past a small red building and continue down the trail. When you come to an open space, take the trail to the far right. If you found the correct trail, you will find yourself walking along the creek for a bit. Eventually you will see the pond to your left. Look to your right to find the old white house. Follow the directions above.
