~6/27/07 After receiving an "attempted" report, I went out to check on this box today. Sadly, it has disappeared. It will not be replaced...

This box was placed with the utmost respect for all of the brave servicemen who have sacrificed so much for their country. A very warm Thank You goes out to all of them.

There is a small town in Tolland County that I have gone through over and over and over again. It has a wonderful little memorial on a state road and I always thought a box would be perfect there. You can actually see this memorial when you are on the bike path that runs through this town.

This is on a very busy road near an "old town hall" and a new "museum". Once you have located the town, you can park out of the way on Monument Lane.

Once parked, go to the front of the stones and read the names of the many men who served their country. When you are finished look pass the flagpole and you will see a large tree just pass the short wall.

Go to the tree and look inside to find the box. YOU WILL NEED A BLACK INK PAD for this stamp.

PLEASE, be very discrete and make sure this box is completely hidden from view when you return it to its hiding place.

Thank you. Pause for a moment on the way back to your car and reflect on all of the men who have answered the call of their great nation.
