Trixie Belden Letterbox
(#2 of 6 in the Childhood Adventure Club series placed by The Aroostook Sleuth and Little Tag-a-long)

Clues: Easy
Terrain: Easy
Stamp: Handcarved

Trixie Belden was my childhood heroine, so much cooler than Nancy Drew. This box is placed in her honor. I had hours of reading pleasure and endless days of outdoor adventures in her name. Long may she live! This letterbox is also placed in honor of all the letterboxes we used to place in the field near my home as a child--long before anyone in the US knew what letterboxes were.

Off Rt. 66 near the State Police barracks turn onto Sportsman Drive and travel .2 miles. Turn left onto Larimer Trail and drive .4 miles to the bottom of the hill and park on the turn off on the right near the green metal gate. Standing in the middle of the gate take a reading of 242.
Walk 10 paces into the woods.
SW side of tree.
PLEASE rehide carefully and well. Recover with the rock, pine needles and leaves. Green Hornet Club letterbox is planted nearby.
Thanks and enjoy lovely western PA.
