**The trout was still active as of 10/06**
US395 to west on Blue Creek Rd. Go slow; you're close! Cross tracks; honk hello to Aunt Susie for us, and take an immediate right on Stanley Loop Rd. When road loops to the left, go forward toward a private drive. Just before you come to the hill, you will see a car path through the weeds to the right. Follow this to the railroad tracks and park. Follow the RR tracks north; cross trestle; turn your back to the danger sign & look east. You will see a tall yellow pine that has been struck by lightning. Walk to the tree. Beneath the blaze you will find a pile of bark, pine cones and pine needles. Blue Creek Trout is stashed in that pile.
