8/10/08 Box is missing.
Finding this letterbox is a good introduction to the Quincy shoreline and beaches, and to its interesting history.
Travel east on Sea Street to the intersection with Quincy Shore Drive. Take left on Quincy Shore Drive, and after passing over a small bridge, look for the next traffic light and entrance on the left to the parking lot for Caddy Memorial Park. From the parking lot, follow the path to the playground area. Facing west/southwest, walk down the left hand path away from the playground. Stop at the marker and read about "Black's Creek." From there, count three large oak trees on the left, and look for a large log on the ground perpendicular to the path. Walk to the far end of the log and look for the letterbox in the hollow of the log, covered with sticks and leaves. (Easy)
