This is a short, easy walk, great for families. Smith & Bybee Lakes provide a wonderful wildlife viewing experience in the heart of the North Portland industrial district.

Find and take the Interlakes Trail. A short way down the paved trail, you will come to a cross-roads. Go right to the dead-end. This is a great spot to see turtles basking on the many logs in the slough between the lakes on a sunny day. The box is hidden beyond the fence, behind the big stump, under some woody debris.

Enjoy your walk. For another letterbox in the area, see Funhog's Smith & Bybee Lakes. Remember to put the box back when you are done!
