Back in the days of passenger service on the railroads, you could get to the city of Independence by rail, but the station was nowhere near the city itself. Instead it was on a road that breaks off of KY 17 just north of downtown Independence. The Independence Station was located on this Road. Located on this road is a park that features a disc golf course, and not much else. Once you enter the park, go straight and go straight again and keep going straight until you can't go any father. You should be in a parking lot next to a shelter 3 and some swings and a jungle gym.

From the shelter there is a trail that heads off East North East along the tree line. Before long the trail turns left into the woods. Shortly after entering the woods, you come to a fork in the trail. Take the left fork. Once that trail turns and runs along the hillside, it is paralleling Banklick Creek. Continue down this trail, watching out for major slippage and being careful not to end up IN Banklick Creek. Eventually you will come to a substantial turn in the trail and a bench with a nice view of Banklick Creek and a lovely blue No Tresspassing sign which people obviously read and obey very well.

From this bench, walk East South East about 14 paces (1 pace = 2 steps) until you come to a large flat rock jutting out from the trail on the downhill side. There is a tree almost directly downhill of this large rock, about 10 feet down. Investigate the pile of rocks at its base.
