Please bring your own pad!
From Sewanee:
From highway 41A, turn onto S 156 (across from St. Andrews school). Go about 8.2 miles down this road. You will leave Franklin Co., drive through Marion Co. for awhile, and then re-enter Franklin Co. Turn right onto the gravel road marked 'Lake Road'. Follow this road down to the lake, where you can park. Tom Pack Falls trail begins behind the outhouse. (No, seriously.) The trail itself is only 3/4 of a mile long. Here's the tricky part: Somewhere past the bridge over the creek and before the tree with the knobby knee (and the uphill bend in the trail), we have hidden a letterbox. It is on the east side (behind and off the trail) of a tree with two white blazes, under a large rock. If you reach where the trail splits into three, you've gone too far! However, if you want to continue your hike to the waterfall, the straight path will take you there. Please cover the box back up when you're done so other people can look for it. Happy hunting!
