11/25/2005 Reported Missing
(I'd be willing to bet that winds just blew it away within the park... probably not too far from where it was planted)
Clues: Difficulty rating 2
Hike: Terrain rating 1 (Children and Handicapped accessible. Terrain is paved, is relatively flat, and less than a 1/2 mile round-trip hike is required.)
Letterbox Retrieval - Terrain is off-trail.)
The tsercaeS burcS larutaN aerA is a small parcel of sand pine scrub serving as preserve for gopher tortoises as well as for rare scrub plants. 1 mile of trail loops through the scrub forest.
Trail guide is available online at the Department of Environmental Resources Management website
Directions to tsercaeS burcS:
3400 South Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, Florida
I-95 to Boynton Beach; East on Woolbright Road; South on Seacrest Blvd 1.75 miles
The LETTERBOX:
Hand-carved "tsercaeS burcS" stamp.
Inside the park, walk down the paved path until you pass a double-rut on the left, leading back to the front of the park. From the slender tree overhanging the paved path, walk 28 paces toward the stop sign. The box is hidden a few paces away at 10 degrees.
