This park is where the Decatur Tennis Center resides. Park and cross the bridge. Go to wood timbers like steps at east end of bball court. Walk along the top of a stone wall nearby, past tall pines and picnic tables. Keep going to creek bed (which may be dry). Now turn uphill (away from gate) on a path bordered by pines and bedded with pine straw - past one tree ringed with stone wall 2 and more pines on left . Spot a big pine on left as you go into more woodsy part. From here stay on path for 21 steps on right. There is a break in monkey grass making small path. At fork nearly immediately there is a partial stump. LOOK BEHIND THE STUMP!

THERE ARE LOTS OF MOSQUITOS HERE and if you are in the wrong spot, lots of prickly vines…..

HAND LB
This park is unique for its SK8 park area. Find the yellow and blue RESTROOMS. Take the uphill path from here, past a family of 3 with one additional place to sit. Stay on the cement paths but DON’T go directly to the playground!!! On your right you should find a “married” couple and on your left a spot where the picnic table has escaped!!! Where many paths converge continue directly str8 to the outer edge of the concrete path. You should see 300 through the trees. Put the orange SK8 Decatur sign behind you and go directly downhill to the fallen log at the bottom of the slope. Just beyond this log is a small sapling with wood and 2 pieces of concrete at its base. LOOK UNDER HERE! Again, there are lots of mosquitos and beware of poison ivy!!!

This park is adjacent to the Mary Gay House. The playground here is at the top of the hill. A wall borders the northwest side of the park. At the part of the wall where cement block meets brick go 11 paces to a double tree with spyder grass in middle. YOUR FIND IS HIDDEN UNDER A BRICK.

This box is planted in honor of KD a wonderful loving friend and teacher

LIZARD
This park is hidden near a school.
You can find the trail so cool
Along a creek at the SW
Keep on going for the rest.

Down the path you will see
I love lisa on a tree
Check below and note the date
Keep on going; don’t be late.

When a choice you have to make
Lucky 7 you should take
Past a tree with metal label
“liquidambar styraciflua” - are you able

To climb up and find the plaque
With a guardrail towards your back?
A famous chef shares this name.
Note the date; the rest is tame.

Down the steps then quickly find
The years ‘tween Peggy and Lisa’s time.
From the base of the timbers
This many steps you must limber.

Look to a tree on your port side
At the base did we hide
Your final treasure for these parks!!!
Stamp in, hide back, it’s getting dark….

FOR ALL THESE BOXES, WEAR INSECT REPELLANT, LOOK FOR POISON IVY, AND BE DISCREET!!!!!
