We know a place where you can have "Fun in the Sun": A place where the waves are calm, where there is a line of spray when the waves meet sand, and the waves draw back and fling sand upon the shore! It's at the coast between Florence and Yachats. If you are going North, seek the Ocean Beach Picnic Area between mile posts 174 and 173. It's a fee area (but aren't they all). A rest room is there, but no water.
Find the beach path and walk down past a table and a bench. Follow the pole fence to the corner post. Look behind it in the bushes for some "Fun in the Sun".
