Find the sign indicating the Knickerbocker Lake Recreation Area off Barter Island Road (same road the Botanical Gardens are on). Take this road to the small parking area at the end. Walk through two rocks, across a cement bridge and towards the dock. Look for the last Christmas tree pine on your left and search by its base.
