The Woodland Trail is a trail for hikers of all skill levels. The trailhead is on North Shore Drive (Hwy 38) 1/4 mile west of the Stanfield Cutoff, 1 mile east of the Big Bear Discovery Center. Start on the trail. Once you get to marker #4, take 20 paces BACK toward marker #3. You'll see large rock formations on the south side of the trail. Walk off the trail 20 paces toward 2 sets of rocks. (You'll see a large pine tree with a cabin in the distance between the two sets of rocks) Look at the rocks on the left side(east). You'll find the box at the base under a small stack of rocks. This box may not be accessible in the winter.
