11/17/007 - Thanks to Force of Five for new log, box, and clue updates!
Adopted by LetterboxHunter2018 2022- NEW clue updates!
**************************************************

DIRECTIONS FOR THE BOX:

August '03 update: a large tree branch has fallen near the original location of the box, making this really just too difficult (and the underbrush has built up this summer making visibility difficult based on the original clues).

THE BOX HAS BEEN MOVED TO A SIMPLER LOCATION. IN A PARK.

The airport is owned by the town of Leesburg, and is definitely not a park. With the new Transportation Safety agency and the country's Threat Level (currently Yellow or Orange, I forget), mulling around wooded areas near a runway is definitely not a good idea.
The letterbox for the airport is LOCATED IN A NEARBY PARK :-)

Leave the airport ( if you went there first ) and go to: 425 Solitude Ct SE, Leesburg, VA 20175

The place where the box hides now (2023) is Tuscarora Park.

You will see the playground by the pavilion.

See The split railed metal fence.

Look down the way to your right for the two METAL benches that are separated by a METAL trash can.

With the trash can at your back, walk into the woods.

You will see a small opening into the woods.

10 steps into the woods, you will see a mini stump about 6-10 inches tall at your feet.

Look for a huge two trunk tree on your left.

While looking at this two trunk tree; go in front of the two trunk tree; face the woods (this tree has another tree that has fallen in front of it).

From here face northish & go 15 steps towards THREE ( ankle-high) boulders huddled together low in the ground.

You'll see a large fallen tree going down towards the bottom of the hill (next to the boulders).

There is a SPOR with branches and twigs hiding what you've walked out here for.

Please re hide well. Happy Letterboxing!
