This is my first Letterbox hidden and was created as part of an outing with GeoCaching pals to the pancake breakfast at the West Point Inn on Mount Tamalpias. We hiked in along Old Stage Road from the Pantoll Ranger Station (about 2 miles each way with a 200ft. elevation gain on the way in) but there are several other ways to get here if you want.
Once you get yourself to the Inn, you'll want to find the chimney on the west side (the back side, not the side with the deck) and then step around the corner to the left, go past the two matching windows, and you'll find the box hidden behind the first support pier that has a rain gutter in front of it.
I hope you enjoy my first hidden Letterbox, and your trip to the Inn. There were also three GeoCaches hidden by the group as part of the outing. For more information about the Inn I would reccommend a Google search where you will find several links to look up. Some parking areas on Mount Tamalpias require you to pay, and some gates on the Mountain are closed at certain hours, keep this in mind when planning your trip. This can be a very busy area at times, so please be discreet in retrieving and replacing the box. Thanks, WRITE SHOP ROBERT
