Go Jacks served me well - it was an opportunity to honor my dad's memory - but it's gone now. It was only a matter of time I guess, because it was a risky hide. I hope those of you who got the stamp will remember it fondly as you look back at your logbooks. It was one of my favorite stamps and it was certainly a favorite box. I'm sad it is gone, wish I could've gotten the logbook, but I have to be philosophical about it and realize - nothing lasts forever and we have to make the best of things when we have them.

This box is a tribute to my father who attended SFA and earned a degree in Forestry from there. He loved nature and instilled in me a love for the woods and nature and life in all forms. He was a great observer of human nature as well, and always thought the best of people. A man unparalleled in many ways, whose footsteps I have always endeavored to fill.

The box also gives a nod to my time at SFA, where I managed to squeeze a four year degree into a mere seven years. My degree, not nearly as noble as that of my dad, is in Accounting. All the same, I'm an SFA alum just like my dad and proud of it!

The SFA mascot is a lumberjack - a rugged man at home in the woods. Highly appropriate, given that the SFA Forestry program is one of the best in the nation!

This box is placed in a high risk area, but it is exactly where it should be. Without discretion in finding and proper rehiding, IT WILL NOT LAST. As such, I ask that you email me to get the clues!
