This box is confirmed missing - the location has been cleaned and the box itself was found, but none of the contents. 06/15/08

*********************************

No quaint cafes along the river. No struggling artists completing renderings of famous cathedrals. The only accents heard are decidedly not French. But Paris, TX invites you to see "the second largest Eiffel Tower in the second largest Paris." Built in the early 1990's, it stands 65 feet tall. It was "Texanized" with a cowboy hat in 1998.

**NOTE** If you want a special "Texas Passport" stamp as a souviner for your journeys around the state, you can e-mail me off-line.

Directions to the box:

The Tower is located near the corner of Collegiate and Jefferson (next to the Civic Center)in Paris. Pull into the parking lot facing the tower. Go up the brick sidewalk. On the left, near the "front leg" of the tower, find the sign that instructs you not to climb on it (no matter how tempting it looks!). Directly behind the sign, (this means you are now facing the parking lot) are several small, dense bushes. Buried deep in the bush closest to the tower is the letterbox.

Please rehide well and watch for observers. This area is well tended.
