NOTE: Thank you to the one who re-planted the box after fixing the bridge. The box was in place and intact as of July 21, 2007.
Isaac Watts wrote the words, who wrote the music in 1796? Where did this composer, singing school master and tavern keeper live? Go there. Look for the building on the green associated with BU. Find the handicapped access ramp. Peer beneath the wooden “bridge.” A small rock conceals a chink in the foundation containing your prize. Stamp up stealthily and re-hide carefully. Take the time to further explore this scenic and historic town. (You’ll need to provide your own ink pad and pen.) Note: There is another letterbox in this town called Sleeper’s Meadow Quest. The clues are available in the publication, Valley Quest II, 75 More Treasure Hunts in the Upper Valley, edited by Steven Glazer and available at area bookstores.
