Difficulty: easy
Terrain: pretty flat, slight drop
Distance: 50 yards round trip
Stamp: hand made
Bring a stamp pad and pen, and a towel to wipe off the LB

UPDATE: Rest area closed for remodeling in summer 2011. However, letter box still exists in location...even though one of the blue spruces has been cut down. I found the box on the ground with the lid off, and filled with rainwater, 7/30/11 and replaced. Log book may be ruined. Stamp exists.
Parking in the rest area may be prohibited at this time.

From Athens, Ohio go southwest approximately 8 miles to the rest stop on West Route 50/32. After entering the rest stop, park in the first available car spot on the right by the blue sign. Walk back down the entry road to the "Do Not Enter" sign on the left. Go straight left of the sign down the slight hill to the grouping of four, what look to be, Blue Spruce trees. Find your way into the center of these trees and look about 3 feet up the trunk of the eastern tree. There, wedged in the branches, you should find the OCTOPUS camo letterbox. If you don't mind, drop me a line at buckeyeboxer1@yahoo.com and let me know the condition of the Octopus. Thanks for coming!

[*This letterbox, originated by "BuckeyeBoxer" was offered to Captain Kirk for adoption on 4/12/08 after the LbNA sysops determined that the email link to "BuckeyeBoxer1" was no longer working. ]
