These two boxes are at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Dogs are ok. There is a fee to enter the park.

Box #1: Desert Trail (.38 mi. round trip)
Enter the park and follow the road and after the visitor center, turn left on Tom Thumb Dr. and park at the trailhead on the right, before entering the E.I Rowland campground area. Begin on Wagner Trail. Follow it to the sign for Group Campground & Wagner Trail. From this sign go 32 steps further on Wagner trail and stop. Look to the rightfor two Palo Verde trees side by side. Go to the middle between these two trees, and duck down to the right. Be careful - the branches will grab you. About 4 feet from the base of the tree, under dead branches and rocks is the box. Please be discreet and rehide well, covering with rocks to help keep it dry.

Box #2: Sunny Saguaro (.25 mi. round trip)
Continue on the main road you came in on and turn right on Schmallo Rd. Follow it to the end, and go on straight back in the parking lot to Hill Top Trail. From the lone Saguaro on the edge of the parking lot, look at 165 degrees, toward the hills. You might be able to see the water shooting up from the fountain at Fountain Hills Park.

Follow the trail up to the first hill that you can see from the parking lot. At the fork, go right through the Cholla, and to the Ocotillo on the right. Next is a palo verde tree surrounding an old tree stump. On the downhill side of the stump is the microbox. Please be discreet and wedge the box back in, and cover well with rocks, so it doesn't tumble down the hill when the area is wet.
