Take I77 to the rt 21 exit. From the north that will be Miller Rd. Take Snowville rd east down into the Valley. When you come to Riverview Rd Turn left. There is parking behind the yellow park buildings. Walk back to Snowville rd. Go to the diamond shaped sign on the south side of the road that says "Stop Ahead" Here you will find the Buckeye trail marked with blue blazes. Start up the hill. Note the Buckeye Trail box with a map and information on the left side. Once you get to the top of the hill, the hike is pretty easy. We don't like to count paces, so we will give you approximate times. From the top of the hill walk for about 15 minutes. You will pass a conrete block building on your left. You will pass through two open areas and under power lines. Walk 2 minutes more and you will pass under a tree that has fallen over the path followed closely by a log you will have to step over. Next you will see a log that has been cut so the path can go through followed by another fallen tree you will step over. Five minutes later you will see an uprooted tree on the left and there will be a dip in the path. Two to three more minutes you will pass under another tree that has fallen over the trail. In 1-2 minutes the path will veer slightly to the right then back to the left. Two to three minutes more you will step over another fallen tree. In another four to five minutes you will come across a small tree with a blue blaze on it. To the right is what looks like a path that is blocked by branches. The trail goes to the left. The trail narrows at this point. Go 16 paces from tree with blaze. Go 14 paces 210 degrees to a tree that has four trunks. Here you will find the box. Please cover it carefully again to protect it from the elements.
