***Unfortunately the Dragon has flown away! We don't know whether it was vandalism or high waters that made him leave his lair.
We will work on a Flying Dragon II box. Look for a new location soon!***
Sorry to anyone who looked for it and didn't find it.
If anyone knows about it's whereabouts or who found it prior to it's disapperance a little boy would love to hear about it.
This box is located in Seven Falls park on the Haddam/Middletown line. To get to the park take exit 10 off of Route 9. At the light take a right onto 154 south. The park will be on your left. Park in the parking lot, then begin your quest for the dragon!
Head into the park between the rocks at 320 degrees. Follow near the stream passing 4 fiery pits. Go up the stone steps that lead you towards the woods, not the road. Cross the rocks to go over the water (may not be passable in spring or after a heavy rain). There will be a big log to your left as you cross the bible rock stream. When you reach the other side, stand on the large flat stone with bits of pink. 40 degrees is the direction of the path you should take. Over more rocks down and up you go. Turn left 60 degrees. Follow the path from the fallen log and root about 7 (kid) paces. Look carefully for the big flat rock that is split. Look for the dragon's lair overlooking the river. The dragon lays just beyond the log under some leaves. He had a friendly toad staying there with him when we placed it, say hi to him if he is still there in the little cave.
This box was placed by a group of children. It is a quick hike, wear good footwear for all of the rocks you must go over!
If there are any problems please contact the placer at Carolesib@sbcglobal.net
Thanks and have fun!
