To find this letterbox, from I-5, exit 55, drive about 30 miles to Cave junction, Left on Caves Highway, drive 20 miles.Once there, you will be going on the Big Tree Hike. Total hike is 3.3 mile loop, a whopping 1400 feet elevation gain. If you dont think you can make it, take the easy way. Hike up to the letterbox, uphill, then backtrack downhill. I think its less than a mile of a hike, however I do really reccomend taking the full hike if you feel up to it, its wonderful! There is no need to print all the photos, just write down the main object you see in the photos and make your own directions! I kept it real easy for you :o) Happy trails! and watch out for bigfoot!

P.S. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
Cave tours are $8 for adults and leave every 15 minutes from 9am-6:30pm every day in the summer, and 10am-4pm in the spring and fall. Children under 6 years old must be at least 42 inches tall for the tour (tall enough to reach the railings), tour is 75 minutes, and bring a jacket, the cave is ALWAYS exactly 42 degrees. Do not go up there without doing this tour, you will be dissapointed, its one of the best tours you will ever see!!!! have fun!
