THESE ARE OPEN LEDGES WITH NO HANDRAILS - PLEASE BE CAREFUL & SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY.
Clue:
From trailhead take the right-hand trail up towards Mount Welch. (counter clockwise route).
Go 1.3 miles to the flat open ledges.
Find the sign on the right hand side describing "Recovery Area".
With the sign at your right shoulder - walk 58 steps and turn right.
Spot 2 boulders - walk until your standing between them.
At 140 degrees you will spot a small path. Follow path to edge of small cliff ledge
turn right.
Walk along cliff ledge for 79 steps - turn right.
Find a flat triangular rock on left - check the edges of rock carefully for your quest.
Either return back to the parking lot the way you came or continue on the loop over Mt Welch and Mt Dickey. Please consult a trail guide for a full description of this hike.
