#21 - Anchor. The anchor represents a life spent upon the sea.
From the intersection of Meadow Rd., Litchfield Rd. and Rt. 125 in Bowdoin Center take the Meadow Rd. South 1.5 Mi. to the East Burrough Rd. on your right. Take the East Burrough Rd. 0.2 Mi. West to the cemetery on your left in Bowdoin across from the Bowdoin Center Baptist Church. Walk along the right side of the cemetery to an old iron gate about half way along this side. Go through the gate and locate a large Oak and a large Pine tree to your left. Rest In Peace Letterbox #21 is located behind the Oak at its base covered with leaves and sticks.

#22 - Cross. The cross indicates a firm commitment and belief in God.
From the intersection of Meadow Rd., Litchfield Rd. and Rt. 125 in Bowdoin Center take the Litchfield Rd. North 4.9 Mi. to the North Cemetery on yout left in Bowdoin just before the Wood School Rd. Walk to the right rear section of the cemetery where are located a pair of slate marker stones somewhat removed from the others. In line with these stones to the right is a large rock in the old stone wall located there. Rest In Peace Letterbox #22 is located behind this rock at its base covered with leaves and sticks.

#23 - Curtains. Curtains represent the passageway to the next life.
From the intersection of Rt. 201 and Rt. 9/126 in downtown Gardiner take Rt. 9/126 West 2.6 Mi. to the cemetery on the left in West Gardiner. Go to the left rear corner of the cemetery where you will see a large Pine tree just into the woods. Rest In Peace Letterbox #23 is located behind this tree at its base covered with needles and sticks.

#24 - Obelisk & Globe. The obelisk and globe represent the spirit having gone to heaven.
From the intersection of Rt. 9/126 and the Hallowell Rd. at Batchelders Corner in Litchfield take the Hallowell Rd. South 0.1 Mi. to the cemetery on your right in Litchfield. Walk to the rear corner of the cemetery. Rest In Peace Letterbox #24 is located under a flat stone at the last metal fence post back.

#25 - Broken Pillar or Tree Trunk. The broken pillar or tree trunk represents a life cut short.
From the intersection of Rt. 201 and Rt. 3 in Augusta take Rt. 3 East 3.6 Mi. to the Bolton Hill Cemetery on your left in Augusta. Walk to the left rear corner of the cemetery. Rest In Peace Letterbox #25 is located at the base of a large Ash tree at the outside corner of a stone wall making this corner and is buried beneath leaves and sticks.

#26 - Open Book. An open book represents the Holy Bible, the word of God.
On Rt. 9 in Augusta next to the Bureau Of Motor Vehicles and across the street from the Augusta Mental Health Institute is the Cony Cemetery in Augusta. Go to the right hand side of the cemetery where are located a line of 3 large Pine trees. Rest In Peace Letterbox #26 is located in back of the Pine nearest the rear corner of the cemetery, at its base covered with leaves and sticks.

#27 - Sarcophagus. A sarcophagus represents the offering up of the deceased to God.
From the intersection of Rt. 9 and the Hallowell Rd. in Chelsea take the Hallowell Rd. East 3.8 Mi. to the Togus Veterans Memorial Cemetery on your left in Chelsea. Go to the large monument near the rear of the cemetery. Facing this monument, to your left is a large Oak tree. Rest In Peace Letterbox #27 is located behind this tree at its base covered with leaves and sticks.

#28 - Lamb. A lamb represents innocence and is usually found on the marker stone of a child.
From the intersection of the Everson Rd. / Old Cedar Grove Rd. and Rt. 128 in Dresden take the Everson Rd. North 1.6 Mi. to the Cedar Grove Cemetery on your left in Pittston. Along the right side of the cemetery near the middle is a Lilac bush. Rest In Peace Letterbox #28 is located behind this bush against the fence covered with leaves.

#29 - Head or Bust. The head or bust represents the deceased watching over his loved ones from beyond the grave.
From the intersection of the Blinn Hill Rd. and Rt. 27 in downtown Dresden Mills across from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, take the Blinn Hill Rd. East 0.2 Mi. to the access road to the Pine Grove Cemetery on your left in Dresden. Take the access road and go towards the right rear corner of the cemetery. Just into the woods from this corner is a large Pine tree. Rest In Peace Letterbox #29 is located behind this tree at its base covered with rocks, sticks and needles. Note the Shevlin crypt on top of the hill which has a stained glass rear window.

#30 - The End. This letterbox completes this series which hopefully has proven to be an enjoyable tour about a few of the states numberless graveyards.
From the intersection of Main St. / Rt. 197 and the Alexander Reed Rd. in downtown Richmond take the Alexander Reed Rd. Northwest 0.5 Mi. to the access road to the Evergreen Cemetery on your right in Richmond, just beyond the crypt. Take the access road to near the left back corner of the cemetery. In line with the last row of stones at the back of the cemetery you will see a Blue Spruce in the tree line on the left edge of the cemetery. Rest In Peace Letterbox #30 is located in back of this tree at its base covered with sticks and needles. This portion of the cemetery, which is set off from the rest, was moved here from the current site of Enterprise Grange No. 48, 0.4 Mi. back towards town on the Alexander Reed Rd.
