3/28/07 - Box MIA. Retired until further notice.

Special Note: This box was carved by Lizman (age 10). Your destination is Lee Westmoreland Kiwanis Park.

Directions: From I-84 take Exit 46. Turn North onto Eagle Road. Turn right onto Chinden Blvd. Turn left onto Glenwood. Turn right onto Riverside Dr. (directly after the bridge at the light) and another right into the second entrance into a small grouping of profession buildings. Continue past these buildings back towards the river and you will come to a parking lot at a tiny park called Lee Westmoreland Kiwanis Park. Park at the east end of the parking lot.

Clues: Take the dirt path at the east end of the parking lot next to the river. You will come to a green sign that says “Private Property – Plantation Golf Course.” Continue down the path to your right (east) and you will come to a white property marker that is in front of you marking the boundary of the river property and the golf course. The river will be on your right and the golf course will be on your left. Continue down the path and count 4 markers including the one you first came to. From the 4th marker you will count 12 paces east and you will be directly across from a tree on the golf course on your left. Face the river and take two steps or 1 pace towards the river. Then two additional steps or one pace to the east. Below you at about 2 steps or one pace hidden in the bank of black rocks you will find “Ocean Seeker” hiding under some lighter colored river rocks sort of tucked into the black rocks.

If you have time to glance around a bit you might even find some golf balls. We found 5 while looking for a hiding place for the box. Keep in mind you are really close to the golf course so there might be eyes watching you from the greens or stray balls heading your direction.

Should you note the box missing, it’s contents in bad repair or if you just want to say “hi” please contace me at Blackvelvetrav@yahoo.com. Happy hunting!
