Elim Luthern Church has always been at the heart of Scandia, Minnesota. To find the Elim letterbox, head down the hill to Gammelgarden, where you can learn more about the history of Elim church. Once you've taken your picture in front of the giant dala horse, poke around until you locate the Ladugard. Head around back of this, to the southwest corner. There's a retaining wall here made of large stones. From the cement edge, take three steps, then look for a cluster of smaller stones about five feet off the ground (eye level for me). Just move a few stones to retrieve the box. Rehide with care.
- There's a very nice gift shop, where you can buy postcards, t-shirts, recipe books, and dala horses, if you feel like spending a little money.
- Bring your own pen and ink (recommended colors: orange, red, and green).
- This box is too small for HHs.
(This box was carved and planted by She Who Plants in 2005, adopted by ArtGekko in 2008)
