UPDATE: Reported missing. I plan to replace and rehide this over Thanksgiving.

Crowell, Texas is a small town of 1400 in Foard County. Crowell promotes itself as the "Wild Hog Capital of the World," and has many hunting leases available. Crowell is also home to the annual Cynthia Ann Parker Festival every May. For more information, visit their website. http://www.crowelltex.com/

As you drive into town on Hwy70, hydrate yourself with a cold drink from the Dairy Bar. Then notice the two statues in front of the County Courthouse. I never paid any attention to who the statues represented, but always noticed the broken arms since I had been told told numerous times about how decades ago, my mother and aunt broke those arms while swinging on the statues. From Hwy70, turn south at the blinking red light on to Hwy6. You will see the City Park about 1/4 mile down on the right. Turn right just after the park, pull in the gravel drive and park. Watch for red harvester ants as they are plentiful here. Walk over to the playground and face the restrooms. To the left of the restrooms at the corner of a bridge is an ENORMOUS cedar tree. The box is in the center of the tree about 3 feet up and covered with tree debris. You can not see the box unless you part the branches and get inside the tree. Don't worry, there is quite a bit of open space once you're inside.

Please make sure the box is really gone, before you report it missing as I will have to send my 77 year old grandmother out to check it for me.
