WE HAVE RETIRED THIS SERIES DUE TO THE WIND DAMAGE AND MUGGLES THAT LIKED TO TAKE THINGS THAT DON'T BELONG TO THEM. WE WILL BE UPDATING THE CLUES, STAMPS AND LOCATION IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE...SO STAY TUNED!

NOTE: Due to the recent windstorms these clues may not be as accurate due to downed trees. That will make your hunting them all the more challenging! If you feel up for that challenge then I say "go for it!" Or you could just wait until we get out there to update the clues. The choice is YOURS!

This letterbox series is at Schafer State Park just outside of the town of Brady (approx. 10 miles) off State Route 12.

This series requires a knowledge of the Harry Potter books. With some thought, all of these boxes can be found, though they may be more difficult for the beginner and sometimes even the experienced! Please rehide these boxes well so that they will be there for others to enjoy. A seventh box will be hidden next year once the last Harry Potter book is released. All of the stamps are handcarved and the logbooks are on the smaller side. Please email updates to CootiesRUs@msn.com or use the link on LBNA site.

From Loop Trail: Use the path that is on the right side of the river. Enter the trail – don’t take the ½ . Look for the three-headed maple on the left. Don't be fooled by his four-headed brother! The STONE lies within its roots on the right.

Continue on past the view of the river and picnic area. Go past a nurse stump and up a small hill. On your right you will pass another nurse stump and a nurse log. Look for still another nurse stump, on your right, by a thin pine. The DIARY is on the right side hidden in a cubby.

Go onward past a bench and head downward towards Azkaban. The PRISONER is locked up on your left, in a small cubby of a three-headed pine.

Keep going past the dementors (which resemble two pines) and watch out for the devil’s snare over the path. Walk through a path of spiders (ferns) until you see Aragog on your left. The GOBLET OF FIRE is behind his legs.

Now to find the Phoenix, you must continue on the trail past the sign. You need to climb higher to find the Phoenix. At the top catch your breath (Is that the dementors again?). Walk 20 paces, stop. The PHOENIX lays to your right at the base of Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall.

Where is that Half Blood Prince? Let’s look…another trail sign? Continue onward and upward. Stop and nibble the huckleberries (if the season is right). Continue until you see the floating ghosts of Hogwarts. Don’t be afraid, just walk on toward another sign. Take the ½ to find the Prince. Go down and past the spiral tree on the right and look for the “knotty” twins – Fred and George. They protect the PRINCE.

Continue down the path to the bottom, go right. We need to escape the forest and all the spiders! Hurry back to your flying car! To be continued...
