From the Mass Pike, Exit 2, then Route 20W to Route 7 North, Route 9East to Route 8 North to Cheshire. Take a right at the lights (only one in town.) Continue straight until you reach the bridge where the road forks, go to the right onto East Main Street, then take your first right onto Furnace Hill. Go to the end of the road, park before the sign "private drive".

Coming from Adams go South on Route 8 to the lights in Cheshire and take a left.

Takes about 10-15 minutes. Walk to your left just before the private drive sign, this is the Applacian Trail. Proceed up the hill you will cross a walking bridge and go up some steps. Continue on, you will walk by some cut up logs. Keep going until you see two tree's on your left with names carved in them and directly across from the 2nd tree there is a tree with a white marker on it. Stop here, look straight ahead and off to the right about 10-20 feet you will see a white birch tree. Look behind the tree under some rocks for the letterbox.

Please make sure when you put it back to hide it well, because it is close to a well traveled trail.

If you are out for a hike you should bring a lunch and continue up to the Cobbles where you can eat and enjoy the beautifull senic view. Soon there will be Fall Foliage letterbox at the Cobbles.
