This box is very easy and considered a drive-by. Time is about 5-10 minutes (longer if you stay for a picnic and enjoy the scenery).
From the Visitor's Center in Cavendish, drive approx. 4 miles (6.4 km)on route 6 West. At this point, there is a little picnic area to the right, with stairs leading down to a little beach. Park here.
From the intersection of route 6 and 20, Follow route 6 east for .5 miles (.8 km). There is a little area to park.
Looking out at the view, turn to the right a see a white birch tree at the edge of the woods. Follow the "forest" line (about 10 steps...I forgot to count the steps ) until you see a big rock just inside the forest. Under the pine branch and some sticks, on the far side of the rock, you will find your treasure.
While you are there, see if you can find Anne of Green Gables box.
This is my first carving and first plant. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what you think.
