Bruins Letterbox
Enter the reservation at the main entrance to the right of the Christopher P. Dunn vistor's center. After walking a short distance on the paved road you will come to the Saugus River Trail. Follow the Saugus River Trail up a slight incline until you pass by the intersection with the Lodge Trail (11/25/2011 - the trail marker is gone. This will be the first trail you pass on the left). Stay on the Saugus River trail. Approximately 10 feet past the intersection you will notice a small unmarked path on your right(11/25/2011 - there is no longer a path, so at 10 steps stop and look off trail to your right). You will be going off trail, straight in from the trail, and begin counting your steps (you will need to make your way by the fallen tree). At approximately 30 steps you fire the puck past the goalie to win the Stanley Cup.

Go back to the paved road and continue along (turn right). Note: This would be a good time to start following directions to another letterbox. In any case continue along the paved road until you reach the Pine Tops Picnic area. Enter the picnic area and you will see 2 sheltered areas where there are many picnic tables. Go towards the one farthest from the paved road. As you approach the back picnic area, you will see a dirt road to your right. Follow the dirt road and you will soon pass between some hefty wooden poles sticking up out of the ground. Between the 4th and 5th poles on the right there is a path leading into the woods. Follow the path and you will come to some stairs. After the 4th stair, you will notice a boulder field to your right. There is one massive boulder on top of the biggest ledge. Under the north side of the top boulder you will cross the goal line for a touchdown to win the Superbowl.

Celtics Letterbox
Return to the dirt road and turn right, away from the picnic area. You should pass a playground on your left. After passing the playground you will be back on the paved road near the beach. Turn left on the paved road to continue. The beach will be to your right. Along the paved road, separating the road from the beach area there will be a guard rail as you start to go uphill. Follow the guardrail to the end passing the gap that leads down to the beach. When you reach the end of the guard rail, take two large steps in the same direction. Go approximately 30 steps at 290 degrees (turn right), to a trio of large rocks. Under the side of the largest rock that is closest to the pond, your 3-point shot sails through the net with a swish, with no time remaining on the clock to win the NBA Championship.

Red Sox Letterbox
Return to the paved road and turn right to continue the way you were going to the top of a hill. After descending a bit, you will start up another hill. Soon you will see you have only "One Way" to go and it will lead to a spot to rest, thanks to the friends. Continuing on the paved road you will soon see 6 boulders along the right side of the road in a straight line. A little further you will see two opposing arrows separated by a line (maybe hidden by snowfall). 8 lines later (or at the top of the next hill), I hope the brakes on your bicycle work. Don't test them yet. Go right to a small unmarked path. You will need to step over a small stone wall (if you could call it that). Follow the path a very short distance and you will see some arches to your right and a very large "V" to you left. East from this point, you will see a very large rock about 10 steps in the woods behind the "V". In a crevice behind a small pine tree you swing at a 3-2 pitch in the bottom of the 9th and drive it deep to center field for a grand slam to win the World Series.

To return to the visitor's center, go back to the paved road and turn right going downhill. You will be back at the start in time for the champagne celebration for winning the championship.
