To the trailhead: From Paseo de Peralta head up Canyon Road. When it ends, go right and follow the signs for Upper Canyon Road and the Randall Davey Audubon Center. The parking lot is at the end of the road. From here it will take about 20 minutes to reach this letterbox.
To the letterbox: Head up the stairs behind the Audubon buildings. Keep left at forks in the trail. At the third left you will pass a wooden bench on your right. Stay on the main trail which goes up a narrow canyon to a large pink boulder (La Piedra Rosa) which crosses the trail. Standing on top of this rock the letterbox is nine paces uphill nestled beneath stones and wood.
