DUE TO CONSTRUCTION IN THE PARK, I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT THIS BOX HAS GONE MISSING.
Clearbrook Park, Clearbrook, VA
DIRECTIONS: From I-81, take Exit ___. Bearing right off of exit, come to stop light. Make right onto US-11. Park entrance is short distance on left.
HISTORY: Clearbrook Park, just five miles of north of Winchester, is an impressive 55 acres and full of amenities like a trout stocked 3-acre lake, paddleboats, lighted ball fields, picnic shelters & tables, 3,000 feet of paved walking paths, horseshoe pits, playground, a 25M outdoor pool, a volleyball court and a vintage red caboose!

ESTIMATED HIKE TIME & DIFFICULTY: Short walk. Very stroller and bike friendly terrain.
CLUES: Park in first lot on your left as you enter. Walk through opening in fence past a picnic area and playground. Follow the paved path towards the lake. Pass over a wooden footbridge. Just over the bridge, you will see a large tree on your right. Pass downhill between the tree and a stone-enclosed flower bed. Cross over a second wooden foot bridge [now a gravel covered culvert]. Approximately 30 degrees ahead is a cluster of small trees near a fence. Nestled in a rock pile underneath these trees is Something Fishy. Be discrete. This park can be very busy and children like to play near the stream.
NOTE (6/18/06): A couple of folks have mentioned the box is cracked, but dry. We don't live in the area and we would greatly appreciate if someone could replace it for us. Thanks!
