July 19, 09 Report from JayCeeMac: Stamp ok but logbook completely soaked and moldy. This is a very small box. I am in Idaho and cannot replace the logbook. Does anyone have an extra logbook? Blackvelvetrav

This box is near the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens and just down from the Washington Street Bridge and the River Promenade walk. The zoo is located at 1200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis. For directions and zoo information/hours/admission prices log on to www.indianapoliszoo.com

I reached the Washington Street Pedestrian Walkway/Bridge on foot by taking the Central Canal Walkway from Ohio Street, past the Indiana State Museum and over the Washington Street Bridge.

Clues: Once you have crossed over the Washington Street Bridge you will immediately pass a big boulder on your left with a plaque that says “This Flood Prevention Levee and Boulevard…” Follow the path on your left (south). First you will pass the back of the White River Gardens on your right and up from where you are walking – make sure you have taken the lower of the two paths and then you will come to an overlook of the canal that has a black metal railing (the overlook down low is not shaded). Just under this overlook there are lots of white rocks. Hop down on the left and about 1 foot from where the rocks and the overlook meet you will find “Harvest Hello” hidden under several white rocks and one with some black on it. You do not need to go under the overlook to find the box. It is just on the edge where the rocks and grass meet about a foot from the top.

Enjoy your visit along the water way. Should you note the box missing, it’s contents in bad repair or if you just want to say “Hi” please contact me at Blackvelvetrav@yahoo.com. Please note that I am from Idaho so if the box requires first aid or relocation assistance it might take some local intervention to assist. Thank you & happy hunting!
