Limas & Lentils - Just a Bike Ride Series, Day 8
They’d met only a week earlier but during that week they bicycled next to each other for hundreds of miles. They chatted and got to know each other while peddling over the hot summer roads in the desert, Wallowas and Blue Mountains.
The bike tour ended where it started - Richland, WA. He invited her over to his home before she took off for the long drive home. What to eat? He pulled out his old standby - lentil soup. It was the first of many meals they would share. Months later she decided that she preferred Lima soup - with ham, like her mother used to make. So thereafter they each made their own batch of soup - one Limas and one Lentils. But they still hold that fond memory of sharing the first bowl of Lentils together as their love blossomed. And she still chuckles because he thought one bowl of soup was enough for two hungry people who had been bicycling all week. Hah!!

To read the continuing saga go to the clues for other boxes in the “Just a Bike Ride” Series.

Getting you close:
Go to boat ramp between Howard Amon Park and Leslie Grove Park.
To get there get on George Washington Way. Turn east on Newton.

Clues
This can be a very busy park so please be discreet.
Walk down dike trail, which starts in NW corner of the parking lot. Pass Street Gang, and “Billy” Bench. Sit where Orman is memorialized. Look right. See the small grove of trees? Limas and Lentils can be found behind the right hand triplets.

Please re-hide better than you found it.

Hope you enjoyed the hunt. Since we don’t live in the area we can’t check on this box very often. We appreciate an update on its status.
