07/24/2008 This box has come up missing for the second time, so I'm just going to retire it. Thanks to all who visited.

INFORMATION: Linesville Spillway is located in Linesville PA. It is a spectacle to behold. It’s a spillway at Pymatuning Reservoir where Carp gather in great numbers. They saying for the spillway is “Where Ducks Walk On The Fish.” We use to frequently camp at Pymatuning Camp Ground when my son was young. He would ask us if we could go feed the gross fish.  It has always been a place that has amused me, and as a family we always had fun feeding the fish. So now, I plant a box in its honor. You can go to http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/PALINcarp.html and get an idea of what to expect. The box is located just down the road from the spillway at the Nature Training Center. I tell you to bring binoculars because as you look out at the lake there is an island located there with an active eagles nest. They can be spotted frequently soaring in the air, or roosting in trees.

Directions: The spillway is located on Mercer Road in Linesville PA. To reach the spillway take Rt. 6 east out of Andover Ohio. You will come to a stop light. At the stop light continue straight on Rt. 85 which will take you accross a causeway. Half way accross the causeway at the PA line rt 85 turns into Rt. 285. Take Rt. 285 until you come to flashing caution lights and you will see a sign for the spillway. Turn left at the flashing caution lights, and follow the signs to the spillway.

Clues: From the spillway parking lot, turn right on to Mercer Road. The Nature Training Center is approximately ½ mile up the road on the right. Park in lot and take the paved sidewalk leading up to the nature center (walkway is to the left). Check out the Nature Center, and look for eagles for a while. When you are ready to look for the box, follow the paved sidewalk towards the lake. You will round a section of fence that has an eagle carved in the post. Continue to walk on the trail (still paved). You will come to a dirt path off to the right. Take that path until you come to a wooden bridge. Stop at the south side of the wooden bridge. The box is hidden on the left side of the bride under some rocks.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, be sure to cover the box up again when you are finished. This path has a lot of activity and if it is not re-hidden well, it will come up missing spoiling the fun for all.

Please notify me of the condition and or status of this box at imdurangogirl@aol.com

As always, happy hunting!!!!
